Now for the class sessions.
First night is for registration & explanation of what we will do. All questions answered & an easy exercise given to get their dogs to pay attention.
Actual training aims to give attendees an idea of how their dogs think & learn.
We do this by teaching:
- Attention
- Sit
- Down
- Stay
- Loose lead walking
- Achieving a good recall despite distractions
- Socialisation with new dogs
- Anything else which pupils bring up during class
Those who reach the required standard may take the Royal Kennel Club Good Citizens Bronze certificate.
